Session 3 - Man's Egoistic Nature Prevents Us from Succeeding


Today we can certainly arrange our lives beautifully. Humanity is already able to produce products in such great quantity and quality that we could provide the whole of humanity with a good, reasonable, problem-free life.


There is, however, one problem: man is an egoist. This is the reason why we can't properly set up environments to support and grow our vast potential, and the abilities we need to obtain it through knowing Nature's laws. We have the abundance we need, but few possess the power, money, and instruments required to properly utilize and distribute the abundance for the best benefit of all.


As a result, others don't receive even the most basic needs for sustenance and existence. In other words, there is one cause for why we cannot build a peaceful, good, convenient, safe, and healthy life on this beautiful, flourishing Earth: human nature.


This is why our whole purpose is to study our human nature and discover the right way to work with it. We must study it and understand how we can make our lives great and fulfilled, and how we can correct our selfish nature. We obviously want to make life good, beautiful, and convenient for ourselves, but we must also desire this for others.


This basic principle stems from knowing the one general law that is only now appearing to us in Nature: the Law of One Global Force, the force that contains within it all the other forces. Whether we like it or not (and we usually don't), this force is compelling us to be more connected and to need each other more and more. It pushes this to all people, all countries, nations, and civilizations.

An electric light bulb at a fire station in Livermore, California, has been lit for more than a hundred years and has not yet burned out. Yes, yes, this is not a mistake, more than a hundred years!

So, why is it that the light bulbs we buy today last for such a short amount of time? The answer is in the following film called The Light Bulb Conspiracy: The Untold Story of Planned Obsolescence. Toward the end of the film the moral principle of nature found in a new concept called "Cradle to Cradle," says that if factories worked like nature, planned obsolescence itself, would become obsolete, and is mentioned as a solution for the problems of greater consumption that are brought up in the course of the film. What in your opinion is the main difference between the solution presented in the film and the solution of integral education?

Question 2: Imagine to yourself that you forgot to turn off the faucet in the shower before leaving for the annual family vacation, and that when you return you discover that thousands of liters of water have drained into the sewage pipes. Both the waste and especially the next water bill are a heartache.

Now think about what would have happened if you forgot the open faucet for a slightly longer period of time and 40 trillion liters of water had flowed from it. Does that sound incredible? It is estimated that this amount of water precisely parallels the amount of food that is discarded every year in the United States.
