Session 14 – Building a Good Environment
×
Nature is admitting us into the perfect state in stages. Thus far, we have advanced through a compelling force. From now on, we can advance only by adding awareness on our part, according to our own development. We can improve, sweeten, and rush our development from now onward using the environment, just as we have done it in every other realm thus far.
Children develop through the environment, just as adults develop through the environment; everything happens through the environment. Examples of note include environments like AA groups, rehabilitation centers, weight-watching groups, or environmental groups like Greenpeace. Just like the way they have developed environments to effect particular change, we, too, should build good environmental mechanisms that influence and impact people in positive ways to relate in connected ways to one another. When we build an environment like this for others, we will all benefit from it, and we will all then be able to develop and evolve into this new world like good kids who grow up in a good environment. In addition, we will also need to specifically build a good environment for our children so they, too, will grow up to be happy, wholesome individuals. Humanity's only problem is learning how to build a good environment. We can simply call our training for this construction, "Building a Good Environment."
I think that all of us, as parents to all of humanity, including our children, would love to bring our kids and everyone into a positive and nurturing place, where by warmth and good relationships amongst us, all will learn how to be connected together, how not to be selfish and arrogant, and how to trust one another without the fear of violence and the cruelty in human nature. This is particularly important for the health of our children who are the future generation of humanity. There is no such thing as an environment that we have described in our world just yet—a place that really offers you a soft place in which to grow and develop.
In such an environment for children, they will really grow quickly with the abilities to absorb, to perceive, and with immense capabilities to handle anything and everything. They will no longer feel like they have to constantly defend and protect themselves from a hostile environment.
We adults, too, don't understand what it means to live in a good environment, and how it feels and impactfully affects us. A positive and safe environment like this can be likened to a baby in its mother's arms, not seeing or feeling anything but her. Just this feeling of safety and comfort alone, gives an infant the strength to develop.
We don't have this feeling right now, and this is why we have stopped developing, and why we are stuck in a global crisis. From all that we have tried so far, we are still not advancing in anything, and on the contrary, instead of improving things, we are actually under threat.

We learned in the first Unit of this course that in Greek the meaning of the word "crisis" is a "decision point." That decision that is made can either mean a breakdown or a new birth. Interestingly, in ancient Hebrew texts, a crisis is the place in the mother's womb from which the newborn emerges.
