Session 14 - Nature Has a Plan

Today we are discovering through science that we are in an environment that is like being in the midst of a bubble, and it's acting on us in a compulsory manner. We are surrounded on all sides and we have nowhere to go. This is why we should relate to it all as "Nature." Today we are increasingly discovering that one law operates on all the elements in all the levels—the overall law of balance in a global, integral system.


It is also what we learn from systems—there is always one law that operates in a system, aiming it to balance. The law of entropy determines that Nature is always drawn toward a good, comfortable, balanced state—homeostasis. This is the tendency of the whole of Nature An example of this is the way that water behaves, as it is always drawn toward together toward filling the lowest place. This is how we should behave—instead of dispersing, we need to gather together, unite, and connect. When we don't do this, we are going against natural law, and this is why today we are experiencing the crisis. We can see it from all the various scientific studies—anyone who studies human society speaks about how today we must unite.


The whole world is connected. The world is a single, round, and integral system. By "integral," I mean that all the parts in the system are connected to each other and operate by a single law that brings all of them to connection and to balance.


We call that law, "Nature," and it operates in what we see in the levels of  the still, vegetative, animate, and human. All the laws belonging to the global-integral system are under a single law, the Law of Balance, homeostasis, to which the whole of Nature is drawn.


This law exists in physics, too. Everything is drawn toward calm, motionlessness, comfort, a static state, minimal entropy, minimal spending of energy. If one point is warm and another is cold, the gap between them will gradually disappear until they equalize. It works from a pressure toward equality. This is how it works in Nature; it's the general law in Nature.


If we want to develop something from state one to state two, so that state two is more developed than state one, we need to know what state one is, what state two is, and develop that something accordingly. Indeed, we see that this is what's happening in Nature. It is never wrong. Nature knows how to develop each element in the best, most accurate way to achieve balance with the environment. This is the law of development.


Nature knows if a certain creature needs forty legs, four legs, or maybe only two. It knows if a creature needs a two-foot long tongue, or if four inches of a tongue inside its mouth are enough. At each stage, Nature creates out of every type of desire the maximum, best development for balance with the environment. This is the Law of Evolution, which affects us, too.


We are inside of Nature as a human society. How do we elevate ourselves above the current state into the next, so that we are balanced with the environment and truly happy? These days, the law of evolution has stopped affecting us in the manner it affected us thus far. Today, we must choose the best future form in which we will be in balance. We need to bring ourselves into that state. This is why we have arrived at this unique, comprehensive crisis. Here, man must interfere.


Today, man needs to grow and understand the whole of Nature, the law that operates on us and the direction of our development. We must now build this human development by ourselves. The way we will do it is through building a society that expresses within it the law that is now appearing to us. In this manner, man will develop himself through society. In contrast, today Nature is only evoking deficiencies within us, discontent, and we cannot keep still.


We are in a general crisis which we don't know how to resolve because to do that, we must know our future state. We must study it, understand it, feel that this is what we need right now, and build ourselves accordingly. Today we need to take the reigns into our hands, instead of Nature. Meaning to not continue to develop by being pushed from behind, letting Nature develop us without our awareness, but rather consciously and only by Nature's wisdom and plan.


We are coming to a state where we must take the reigns of the program, grasp Nature's wisdom and build the system of development—like a social incubator—by ourselves, and thus evolve.

"There are no isolated entities.  Every form is connected to a particular degree to the other forms and depends upon them.  Great networks of organisms together form a wide spectrum of inanimate components, ecological systems, connected to animals, plants and microorganisms, in a complicated network of connections involved with exchanges of energy and substance in repetitive cycles.

[…] The nonlinear and mutual connection between parts of the ecological system, lead to this that every severe disturbance in the system, is not limited to specific influence on the system, rather it is reasonable to suppose that it leads to spread of the problem throughout the entire system and to its intensification as a result of a mechanism of internal feedback."

Question 3: An organism is a life form.  A super-organism is a life form composed of other life forms.  A nest of termites is a super-organism and so too are bacterial colonies and beehives.  In the following clip you can recognize which organism among the 5 super-organisms is the most successful (in the opinion of the makers of the clip).  Wait patiently until the end – wait for the surprise. If you thought about traffic congestion as a type of super-organism, composed of tens and perhaps hundreds of a type of organism, called a "nervous driver," it is worthwhile for you to make a telephone call to Peter Miller, one of the editors of the "National Geographic" magazine and author of the book "The Genius of Swarms" –as far as it seems you have a wide common denominator for an interesting conversation.  Here in this video clip,  you can understand why (even if you haven't thought about traffic congestion as a super-organism).
