Session 11 - Mutual Dependence for Better or for Worse

Alongside the disintegration of the family unit and the loss of kinship, another interesting, completely new phenomenon is taking shape: our society is becoming connected.

Beyond the realization that banks, the industry, and manufacturers are all globally connected and trade raw materials and products with each other, we are becoming mutually dependent in culture and education. It is not about being able to know through the media what is happening in every place on the globe. Rather, it is that we are becoming dependent on one another.

If that dependence is in a good family, it's great. It gives the family confidence. But if it is a negative dependence, it leads to divorce or even worse, to violence.

We are becoming hateful of each other and repel each other on a global scale, but at the same time we are all globally interdependent. Thus, how can we divorce each other here? Nature has closed us in Earth, on its fragile crust, and we can neither divorce each other nor escape each other.

It turns out that each day we are becoming more interdependent. If previously, when we were far from one another and had a bad connection, at worst, we would kill each other. Today, with the existing weaponry, we would destroy the whole world. It turns out that everyone depends on everyone else, for better or for worse.

This is a very big problem because in the meantime our egos are increasing, becoming even intolerant. It is only growing, while we are not growing wiser. We are afraid that together with the weapons, envy, lust, pursuit of honors and domination, ruthlessness, and our minds that are made thick with hatred, we might end up destroying ourselves on a global scale.
